PRESENTATION

The Relais Santa Teresa, a national monument, is a 13th century Baronial Palace which was converted into a cloistered monastery of the order of the Discalced Carmelites in 1600 following the donation of Baron Sambiasi.

Today this Relais offers itself as an ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday in an ancient and prestigious palace, close to the most beautiful beaches of Salento, the Portoselvaggio National Park and the most important baroque cities.

The very spacious, bright rooms, with ancient floors and frescoed vaults allow you to relive the charm of the nobility from the medieval to the Renaissance era.

From the terraces and balconies of the Palace you can admire the baroque churches and the garden.

From the ground floor you enter the Monastery, which with the impressive height of the vaults sculpted by Tarantino and the medieval church identifies itself as the perfect place for any type of ceremony and event.

The Relais is located in the historic center of Nardò next to the Bishop's Palace and the Cathedral, just 8 km from Gallipoli (called the pearl of the Ionian Sea), 3.8 km from the Portoselvaggio National Park, just 25 km from Lecce. The nearest airport is Brindisi, 58 km away, alternatively Bari Airport, 180 km away.
